KEM - FOS - L

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
KEM-FOS-L is a liquid compound containing alkaline mineral salts, sequestering agents, dispersants, sludge conditioners and volatile amines which provide scale, corrosion and condensate control for low pressure boilers.
Always combine KEM-FOS-L with OXYAMINE (oxygen scavenger and corrosion
inhibitor), to obtain the most modern, safe and effective boiler water treatment
program.
PRODUCT USES
KEM-FOS-L is suitable for all auxiliary boilers, waste heat units, low-pressure water tube boilers, smoke and water tube boilers, steam/steam generators etc.
APPLICATION, DOSAGE & CONTROL
For an untreated system an initial dose of 2,5 liters of KEM-FOS-L per 1000 liters of
untreated water is recommended. Thereafter the dosage rate of
KEM-FOS-L is based on ''P'' alkalinity measured in ppm of CaCO3.
The following chart indicates the appropriate amount of KEM-FOS-L to be added (the midpoint value is circled).

KEMOX - L

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
KEMOX – L is a catalysed sodium sulphite in liquid form used mainly in low and
medium pressure boilers up to 850 PSI.
PRODUCT USES
KEMOX – L is used as an oxygen scavenger in boiler water treatment, reacting with
oxygen to form inert sodium sulphate. The catalyst ensure​d rapid reaction time so
that complete oxygen removal can be achieved. Rapid oxygen removal means
minimal corrosion plus extended boiler life.
KEMOX – L may also be used for the removal of chlorine, 4 mls of
KEMOX – L removes 1 gr. of free chlorine.

OXYAMINE

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
OXYAMINE is a new technology oxygen scavenger designed to substitute Hydrazine and
Sulfite, which are traditionally, used for this purpose in all boilers high and low pressure.
Limitations of Sulfite and Hydrazine
Equations 1 and 2 show the reaction of Sulfite and Hydrazine with oxygen.
2 Na2SO3 + O2 = 2 Na2SO4
N2H4 + O2 = N2 + 2 H2O
Each however has limitations.
Sulfite increases the total dissolved solids in the boiler water through the formation of
Sodium Sulfate. Therefore boiler blow down must be increased resulting in greater
chemical and fuel costs. Sulfite is only an oxygen scavenger and does not form a
protective film of black magnetic iron oxide (F3O4, magnetite). This magnetite film
passivates and protects the metal surfaces.

ALKALINITY CONTROL

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
ALKALINITY CONTROL is a concentrated alkaline liquid product for corrosion
and scale control in boilers.
This treatment is part of Eurochem’s Coordinated Treatment Program.
Alkalinity Control provides the alkaline conditions for Hardness Control to function
correctly.
ALKALINITY CONTROL is characterized as a safe food additive in accordance with U.S.
regulations FDA (CFR code 173.310 Boiler Water Additives).
APPLICATION, DOSAGE & CONTROL
Application
ALKALINITY CONTROL is used for all boiler pressures mainly for providing the required
alkaline conditions within the boiler for corrosion control, by neutralization of acidic gases
and by the establishment of passivating layer (magnetite)

KEM - HARD

KEM – HARD is a highly soluble, dry powder product used for the reduction of hardness in boilers. It will precipitate calcium hardness as a non – adherent sludge.
KEM HARD is characterized as a safe food additive in accordance with U.S.
regulations FDA (CFR code 173.310 Boiler Water Additives).
APPLICATION, DOSAGE & CONTROL
KEM – HARD is formulated to form a precipitate with calcium ions, which will not adhere to metal surfaces but are in a form suitable for blowdown.

CONDENSAMINE is a concentrated liquid neutralizing agent for corrosion control in condensate and feed water systems.
APPLICATION, DOSAGE & CONTROL
CONDENSAMINE is a liquid, volatile alkaline amine which neutralizes the acid contaminants of condensate and feed water systems thus preventing the acid corrosion of system components. The most common cause of acid corrosion in condensate and feed water systems is the dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2) being present in the water evaporating. CONDENSAMINE neutralizes these acids and maintains the condensate and feed water in an alkaline condition

LIQUID COAGULANT

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
LIQUID COAGULANT is a high molecular weight solution suitable in both medium
and low-pressure boilers to prevent oil sludge deposits when feedwater becomes
contaminated by oil.
The use of LIQUID COAGULANT in boilers coagulates oil droplets, causing the
suspended solids to settle to the lower part of the boiler and then be removed by
blowdown.
APPLICATION & DOSAGE
LIQUID COAGULANT is «slug fed» at 28ml per day, per ton of water.
It should be dosed to boiler water which is kept in alkaline condition.
For systems with severe oil contamination, off-line cleaning is desired
